About

I’m just a young pastor who has a deep appreciation and a love for stories. My father spent many moments telling my siblings and I about fantastic stories and we found ourselves being inspired and encouraged by them.

Going beyond just the simple and memorable moments of fireside stories and bedtime tales, my father also instilled in me profound truth. That truth is nestled in the stories we believe about ourselves. As we grow, we travel through life experiences and are shaped by them. We look to our parents for love, comfort and direction and get it from them. Unfortunately, this need goes unanswered for some, and it breaks my heart. Many people experience horrendous abuse and are marred by traumatic events that also shape who they are.

Such events can shape them into great men and women, or to maimed men and women. The end result lies within the story they believe about themselves. This is why I wanted to start writing. I wanted to help people identify within themselves a story that helps heal hearts, mend souls and encourage greatness.

A little about me:

My goal is to raise my family in such a way that I can participate in the telling of their story. I want my children to know how much I love them, and how much I believe in them. I know I can’t protect them from all the pain this world is going to throw their way, I can however be right beside them and catch their tears, mend their wounds and provide a shoulder to cry on. I want my voice to ring louder than any other voice that would try to bring them low.

I have been married since 2004 and find myself falling in love with my wife over and over again. Our marriage isn’t a perfect one, by any means. We both have said and done things we wish we hadn’t. At the end of the day though we are stronger because we have a sure foundation in Christ.
